Dee'S 50'S Place: Reviews & Ratings
First time there. Well worth the trip. Best salads ever served in a restaurant and our dinner was amazing. The two of us could have shared our dinner that’s how much food they serve. Price is reasonable and friendly place. We will go back again
It's a trip back into the past at Dee's 50's Place Diner and that's exactly what we were hoping for. Lots of cool memorabilia (the Elvis Cuckoo Clock is really interesting) and a casual, chill experience. The omelette that I ordered was HUGE for probably half of what other restaurants would charge. Great service and location. We'll be back for another meal soon. A real gem that many in the area don't know about...yet.
I would have given 5 stars if the grey hair was impatient and rude! The young man who was the waiter was so good he was the reason we stayed! Food was excellent , dessert was to die for we had the tuxedo cake and chocolate cake and both were mouth watering!!!! And the waiter was so good he took the irritation away that the woman who took the drink orders gave us! She was impatient and not a nice person but she got irritated at first because a table she cleaned still had food on it and she was rude! But food excellent and our male waiter was awesome !
This is my favorite restaurant. I havent found anything I dont like. The staff is SUPER friendly and its family owned and ran. I absolutely adore this place. Yes there can be a wait on weekends or busier times of the day but you cannot go wrong here. Just please be patient. This place is super affordable.
Me and my Family always enjoy this place and we go here whenever we are together. The food is always great. They have so much to choose from on their menu. Mike is always greeting us and he is always working hard and is also very polite. We appreciate you for all that you do. The cooks are the best. The bus boy is also a kind person. I've never ran into any issues and the prices are fair for what you get. Keep up the great work! You gained a customer for life!
Mike was an awesome waiter. The recomendations he gave us was perfect. I got the Al's Hungarian Sausage with fries. It was delicious. My wife got the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and corn. She raved about the meatloaf. We also had a slice of home made flan cake This was the 3rd time we have been here it is so woth the drive to Barderton. Deffently a hidden gem and so worth going to. Next time we hope to be there while one of many car shows are happening.
My client passed away a few weeks ago. His wife and son wanted to have a small repast dinner there. They had us in the middle of the diner and pushed the tables together so we all could sit. Some had sat a the booths but the majority of us were at the long table. We were anywhere between 20 and 30 people. The Staff were very friendly & kind. When other customers walked in they looked at us and smiled as we smiled back, with a nod and a hi. My Mother, Auntie, and I felt peacefully comfortable. We were the only 3 African-American people that came to the repast dinner. The staff were interactive with us as they were with everyone whom came into their establishment. We felt nothing but love. We will be back. ~Love Always TONTI ~
1st time at Dee's, and the place was cozy. I ordered the open face roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and corn. The mashed potatoes were a fresh smashed potatoe, not fake. I like how they only used one piece of toast and the beef was tender and flavorful. The only thing was I thought that there could of been a little more gravy. Other than that I would definitely order this again. My Mom ordered the Liver and onions. She said the liver was tender and was tasty. She also enjoyed the fresh smashed potatoes. Service was prompt, and the restaurant was clean. It gave you that old school vibe. I would definitely come back another time, and try something else on the menu. Maybe even save room for one of there deserts they have that looked delicious!
